Description of the Organization
Magna Mirrors has a good amount of people working there with a mix of age levels, however a majority amount of them did not work in the building due to Magna's covid restrictions. Magna allows the student to learn how to do jobs by themselves but also provides the help if they need it to get started.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
Magna Mirrors includes a lot of testing of prototype materials and parts. There might be a large sum or a small amount due to how much prototypes are available for testing. The testing is simple to do but it might take once or twice to get used to get a hang of things. therefore, I recommend doing practice tests on parts that already have been tested to compare results with the concluded results to check accuracy and precision.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
The big things that need to be known is how to use tools and how to remember how to take things apart and put them back together without breaking parts and missing screws or assembly.
Favorite Part of the Experience
I really enjoyed the hands on aspect to the job and the people that I work with. The people are always willing to help you out, it might not be at that exact moment but they will help either way.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This co op solidified my passion to become an engineer more than it was before because I was able to do what I am passion about everyday for 3+ months.
