Description of the Organization
Dominion Systems is a software company, whose software provides the ability to streamline payroll and HR processes that range from : Time & Attendance, Applicant Tracking, ACA reporting, Benefits Administration, On-boarding, and Payroll.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
Projects I worked on range from bug fixes, quality of life improvements, new features, and converting legacy code to our new architecture. My main project was to complete a dashboard summarizing data that is created when a payroll is accepted.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
This is my second rotation but I've continue to learn and better myself whether it be in coding C#, Typescript, Visual Basic, SQL or in learning more in depth about Angular's framework and life cycle.
Favorite Part of the Experience
I think the people at Dominion are incredibly helpful and fun to work with, whenever I have struggled to understand a concept or needed guidance on an approach to a solution my coworkers go out of their way to make sure I understand concepts, best practices and can tackle my project from there.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
It has definitely made me more interested in the CS side of computer engineering.
