Description of the Organization

Corvac Composites, LLC. is a automotive manufacturing company the creates underbody shielding using high density polyethylene. Assisted manufacturing, design, quality, and engineering with whatever they needed. This involved mundane tasks such as creating and updating documentation to buying and designing machinery to improve current processes.

Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience

I was a student very unsure in what direction I wanted to head within the engineering field. Working at Corvac Composites, LLC. allowed me to experience many different professions within the engineering field to help me find what would best suit me. Working at Corvac allows you to do this as long as you actively pursue trying new things. Very rarely do great opportunities just fall in your lap, you need to seek them out.

Favorite Part of the Experience

Developing my professional skills because of how much more companies value that in an engineer. Also being able to meet new people and hear about their experiences. Listening to other engineers experiences will help you immensely in determining your own.

How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals

I was able to narrow my field of interest down to working directly with manufacturing or product design/management. This path has yet to be decided though. I know I would not be this ready for the real world if I had not had these co-op experiences.
