What is Virtually Hug a GI Week?

Virtually Hug a GI Week is a unique opportunity for our campus community to come together in support and recognition of the military members among us. The idea is to express our gratitude and appreciation through digital means, acknowledging the sacrifices and dedication of our veterans. The MVRC is going to print and display yard signs on the Allendale campus featuring 20 faculty and staff and 20 military-connected students. Each sign will have a QR code for submitting messages of support and gratitude that will be shared on the MRVC website after the event.

How Can You Participate?

The MVRC invitesĀ the entire GVSU community to scan the QR codes that will be found around campus or visit the MVRC website to virtually hug a fellow GI the week of March 25! You can also use the hashtag #GVSUHugAGIWeek on social media to connect and amplify our collective appreciation.
