Are you interested in studying abroad on the Tanzania Teaching, Learning & Culture program? Join us for an information session!
About the program:
Arusha, Tanzania: You will explore the rich culture and beauty of Tanzania while teaching and studying issues in education in the U.S. and Tanzania. You will learn from and interact with teachers and students in a culture different than your own. A 4-day safari, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, touring a coffee plantation and learning Swahili are all part of this incredible experience.
Program Highlights:
- Teach 50-60 hours in a Tanzanian classroom, volunteer at a local orphanage, many opportunities to interact with locals, and learn basic Swahili
- Field trips include a 4 day-safari, a day climb on Mt. Kilimanjaro, tour a coffee plantation, shopping in the local Maasai market, design and have made clothing or accessories from local fabric
- Build intercultural teaching and communication skills
