Cinema Without Borders Grand Rapids Latin American Film Festival

The 10th Grand Rapids Latin American Film Festival (GRLAFF) will take place entirely online. All screenings are free and open to the public. Feature-length and short films are scheduled on various dates between September 15 and October 15. Visit grlaff.org for details and a film schedule.

Each film will be available from its release date until the end of the festival. To celebrate ten years of the festival, four guest directors that will do live virtual Q&A sessions immediately after the showings of their respective films. Melina León, director of Song Without a Name (Perú), Maura Delpero, director of Maternal (Argentina), Rubén Mendoza, director or Wandering Girl (Colombia), as well as Bettina Perut and Iván Osnovikoff, directors of The Kings (Chile), will be presenting their films and interacting with the audience via Facebook Live and YouTube. 

The festival opens on Tuesday, September 15th with the screening of the documentary, The Unafraid, at 8:00 p.m. ET. The documentary follows the lives of three DACA students in Georgia. After the screening, a panel discussion on education and Latinx students will follow via Facebook Live and YouTube.
