Welcome! Join us to explore the world of nationally competitive fellowships.
Planning to apply for the Gilman to help defray the cost of GVSU undergraduate study abroad? Exploring Fulbright or another English Teaching Assistantship opportunity in Japan, Spain, South Korea or elsewhere? Intrigued by Fulbright US Student awards to fund a one-year master's degree in another country? Interested in the NSF Goldwater (for undergraduates planning on graduate research in STEM)? Curious about fellowship opportunities generally? Use this zoom link to chat with a GV Fellowships advisor. Bring your questions and your curiosity! There are many fellowship opportunities to explore!
Fellowship opportunities fall under three major headings:
- Study Abroad: Undergraduate support for study abroad programs administered by Grand Valley.
- Undergraduate Opportunities : Summer seminars and internships in the U.S. and beyond, immersive, fully-funded intensive language study not connected with Grand Valley (the Critical Languages Scholarship program), research at major federal labs in the U.S., and international research (DAAD-RISE for STEM research in Germany).
- Graduate/Post Commencement Opportunities: Support for graduate school in specific countries, at specific universities or in particular fields, prestigious internships in peace and security, nonprofit administration, public policy, urban planning, social justice, human rights, and more, and high-impact gap-year experiences like Peace Corps, City Year, JET (teaching English in Japan), NALCAP (teaching English in Spain), TAPIF (teaching English in France), and the Fulbright U.S. Student ETA and S/R programs.
For much more information, visit the GVSU Fellowships website. We are delighted to share these high-impact opportunities with GV students and alumni!
