Philip Batty has led the Institutional Analysis function at GVSU since 2004.  He holds a PhD in Educational Psychology and Research from the University of Memphis, and is also an alumnus of the University of Illinois and Tulane University.  He is loving husband to Julie and proud father of Ellen and Arieonna.

Philip's work and that of his Institutional Analysis colleagues contribute to effective enrollment development at GVSU by identifying risks and opportunities, evaluating outcomes, projecting trends, and predicting program impacts.  They also provide reports and data access to support decision-makers throughout the university, and address demands for external reporting of GVSU data.  Philip co-leads the consolidated Office of Records and Institutional Analysis, which delivers excellence in the use of data for both operational and analytic purposes.
