GVSU's Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program is an accelerated graduate program (3 year/9 semester). Our program of study includes a rigorous academic curriculum, with hands-on lab components, on-campus clinical experiences and 3 semesters of off-campus practicum before the externship year. Our curriculum prepares students to practice audiology in any setting or clinical area.

The Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders prepares students for graduate study in speech-language pathology, audiology, and related health and human-service fields. Students build foundational knowledge in speech, language, hearing, communication development, and communication, language, and swallowing disorders while developing the academic background needed for advanced professional preparation. Across five years of CSD Undergraduate Exit Survey data, 93% of graduate-school applicants reported at least one acceptance offer, reflecting the program’s role as a strong pre-professional pathway.

GVSU’s Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program includes a rigorous academic curriculum and a series of off-site clinical experiences. The program's curriculum is designed to prepare students to become clinically competent entry-level professionals in the field of speech-language pathology. We offer two tracks for completion of a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. Track 1 is an intensive 16-month program leading to a Master of Science degree designed to serve students who have completed a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology, or who have completed all prerequisite coursework. Track 2 is designed to serve students who have earned a bachelor's degree but have not taken the required prerequisite coursework for application to the Track 1 program. Students in Track 2 complete the required prerequisite coursework in two academic semesters.
