Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Grand Valley State University offers innovative degree programs in speech-language pathology and audiology, designed to produce well-prepared graduates ready to enter these dynamic and growing professions. Programs are structured to maximize both didactic and clinical learning while minimizing time to degree, supporting students in obtaining a rigorous and intensive education in a cost-effective manner.

The department began educating undergraduate students in fall 2010 and has since grown to offer three degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, and a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.). Both graduate programs hold accreditation from the national accrediting body. The department is home to a dedicated faculty who are committed to the ongoing creation, implementation, and refinement of these programs.
