COE faculty featured on national broadcast

The College of Education's Ellen Schiller (Professor of Education and Chair of the Teaching and Learning Department) was recently featured in "The Academic Minute." The June 20th, 2019 segment was broadcast on stations nationwide and shared online at . Schiller presented on the importance of "Nurturing Elementary Teachers as They Strive to Become Better Science Teachers." She discussed why educators need to begin teaching science early to young students.

Schiller's segment was part of a week-long spotlight for Grand Valley State University on The Academic Minute, as four other faculty members from GVSU were also featured on the program throughout the week.

The Academic Minute is produced by WAMC/Northeast Public Radio, a member of National Public Radio (NPR), through support from The Association of American Colleges & Universities.
