Club Sports Banquet 2024

Our E-board had a great time attending the Club Sports Banquet which recognized all of the Club Sports at Grand Valley and their efforts throughout the year. Our team was recognized for three achievements at the ceremony. First, we tied for 3rd place in the Grand Valley Club Sports Cup. The Club Sports Cup is a new way for teams to earn money for their club by taking part in on-campus events and supporting other club sports throughout their seasons. Our team was determined to earn as many points as possible, and the hard work paid off. Our efforts earned us $750 towards our club for the 2024-2025 season. Second, our President, Katelyn Pollet (Spring 2024 graduate), was nominated for Officer of the Year. Katelyn earned this nomination through her leadership and extended efforts to create a successful team. Finally, our team was recognized as the Club of the Year! We earned this award through consistent participation in Club Sports and campus events. This achievement can also be attributed to our dedication to the Club Sports Cup and our presence on social media. The Club Sports Banquet was a great way to conclude our 2023-2024 season and we are looking forward to what this year will bring for Club Softball! Anchor Up!

Club Information

2024-2025 team

We are part of the National Club Softball Association (NCSA) Division I and compete in the Great Lakes East Conference. Our conference consists of Adrian College, Bowling Green University, Central Michigan University, Michigan State University and University of Michigan. We play year-round from September to May. Our Conference games are played in the Fall and Spring. Post-season tournaments (Regionals and Nationals) are also played in the spring. In the NCSA, our games are scheduled as triple headers on Sundays and we only meet with each team once a year. For example, we may host Central this fall, but they will host us in the fall of next year. This fall we will practice Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-7 pm on the outdoor intramural fields. Beginning in late October our practices will be moved inside the Kelly Family Sports Center. Our season will pause in early December and we will resume practice in the beginning of February.
