Don't see the forms?

Come back during an active election cycle when the nomination form, acceptance form, and ballot are available on this webpage.

If it is an active election cycle and you still don't see the forms, please contact Kirk Anderson, Chair of CLAS Faculty Council.

The dashboard below is a "real-time" (periodically updated by a human) tracker during the nomination period.  The goal is to have at least two candidates running for every seat.  If you see a committee that needs more candidates on the ballot, consider nominating yourself or a colleague!  (To see the full names of each committee, go to the committee information page.)  Note also that there are 4 open seats on CFC/CCC/FDC, but only one seat may be held by an affiliate faculty member.

More Information

Information about the CLAS Affiliate Faculty Advisory Committee (CAFAC) can be found by returning to the CLAS Faculty Governance and Elections homepage:

CLAS Faculty Governance and Elections

Starting with the W26 election, affiliates can run for, and serve on, the following CLAS committees: Faculty Council (CFC), Curriculum Committee (CCC), and Faculty Development Committee (FDC).  Information about these committees can also be found by clicking the above link.

Information about the University Affiliate Faculty Advisory Committee (AFAC) can be found on the Committee Descriptions page:

Committee Descriptions

Nominations: To nominate a colleague (or yourself), you must first identify that colleague’s GVSU email address. Once you log in to the nomination form, type that faculty member’s GVSU username into the box associated with the particular committee/position and submit.

Accepting a nomination:  If you self-nominated, you will get an automatic email with a link to the acceptance form. Please provide a ballot statement - it is important to give people a reason why they should vote for you.

Voting: CLAS elections involve approval voting.  Faculty vote for everyone they think can ‘do the job’ of the committee. If there are 5 people running for 2 seats on a committee and all of them appear capable of doing the work of the committee, then you may vote for all 5.

Questions may be directed to Kirk Anderson, Chair of CLAS Faculty Council.
