Civil Discourse Symposium 2018

Are you worried about the environment?  Confused by contradictory claims of scientists and politicians? Turned-off by heated and biased arguments? Want to make your views heard? If so, then the event "Civil Conversations on Climate Change" is for you.

The 5th Annual Padnos/Sarosik Civil Discourse Symposium: Civil Conversations on Climate Change is an interactive, participatory symposium featuring keynote speakers representing diverse points of view.  The event will offer participants opportunities to personally engage in civil discourse with scientists, politicians, climate change sceptics, environmental justice advocates, and fellow citizens.

The Event, facilitated by Dr. Elizabeth Arnold, the 2018-2019 Padnos/Sarosik Endowed Professor of Civil Discourse, will be held Thursday, October 25, 2018 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Paul A. Johnson Conference Hall at the L.V. Eberhard Center on the Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus.

Parking is available at no cost.  Your RSVP is appreciated.
