In the spirit of bridging divides through dialogue, the Center hosts an annual civil discourse symposium that offers students; campus staff and faculty; and community members an opportunity to come together for constructive conversation. Symposia invite people to be curious, listen deeply, and engage with one another authentically to develop greater mutual understanding across difference.

We’re doing it a bit differently this year. Rather than our usual Fall symposium, the 12th annual civil discourse symposium will be held in the early spring of 2026.
