12th annual Civil Discourse Symposium
Ethics and Responsibility in Online Spaces
What is our collective responsibility for how we talk to one another in this country? How much is public discourse influenced by our individual choices online? And in what ways might our online participation be influenced by algorithms and artificial intelligence?
At a time when digital platforms increasingly shape public discourse, the need to reflect on how to foster healthy dialogue has never been more urgent. The 12th annual Padnos/Sarosik Civil Discourse Symposium, Ethics and Responsibility in Online Spaces, invites us to reflect upon ways public discourse is shaped by how we each participate online, and how our critical engagement with digital technologies can help us resist these influences.
