1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
After graduation, I spent a year searching for the perfect teaching job and finally thought I found it in Arizona. I worked in a couple of schools there and put to use everything I could from my experience up to that point. After my 4th year of teaching middle school science, I knew it was time to go back to school and take the next step. That led me to grad school to earn a Master's Degree and School Counselor License from Wayne State. I'm currently in my 7th year as a school counselor and participating in a school counselor fellowship to advocate on a higher level for my students and profession.

2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
Poker nights with friends in the ravines, followed by a long drive to East GR for late-night hotdogs.

3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Follow all the rules so you can break them when it counts.

4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand Valley experience.
Friendships and good memories

5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I love working with young people every day to help them make decisions about their lives and encouraging them to explore every opportunity they could dream of for their future.
