Join us for free pizza and the showing of Support the Girls! In this offbeat workplace comedy, Lisa (Regina Hall), the manager of Double Whammies, a “sports bar with curves,” cares for her female staff and predominantly male customers on one very strange day. This day finds her dealing with, among other things, a would-be thief stuck in the vent system, an employee who has run over her abusive boyfriend, another who rightly questions the “diversity” policies of the bar, and a boss who wants to fire her. The film brings to light the everyday struggles of women working to keep themselves and their families afloat while searching for a measure of happiness and community along the way.
