The GVSU Biomedical Sciences Department is committed to providing our students with the highest quality education in order to prepare them for a future in the biomedical sciences, whether that future includes continuing their education by attending professional school (medical, dental, osteopathic, veterinary, pharmacy, graduate) or pursuing a job/career in the biomedical sciences immediately following graduation. The BMS faculty members have depth of knowledge and expertise in their respective fields, with specific faculty members specializing in one or more of four curriculum areas (Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, or Nutrition). Additionally, faculty members conduct a variety of research projects, providing students with opportunities to gain hands-on laboratory experience. 

The Biomedical Sciences Department is part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
