Six unique 45-minute training sessions share practical strategies and real classroom examples that honor diverse learners in inclusive settings. Each webinar will be offered twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, and participants will leave each session with easy-to-use ideas they can try right away. Designed for general and special educators, this training was developed through collaboration to support SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) and belonging, universal supports that benefit every learner, visual strategies, responsive real-time differentiation, thoughtful AI-supported lesson planning, and approaches that foster focus and self-regulation in ways that work for each student.
- September 29, 2026: Beyond the Icebreaker: Building a True Culture of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and Belonging
- Belonging isn't built in a single activity; it's built in the everyday moments of a classroom. This session helps general and special educators move past one-time icebreakers toward SEL practices that create a lasting culture of connection for every student. You'll walk away with real classroom examples and practical strategies you can weave into routines you already use. Expect interactive discussion and take-home tools designed for immediate classroom use.
- October 28, 2026: For Every Learner: Making Universal Supports Everyday Practice
- Universal supports work best when they're not an afterthought, but a built-in part of daily instruction. This session shows general and special educators how to make supports that benefit every learner into everyday practice. Participants will see real classroom examples and leave with easy-to-use ideas they can try right away. The session includes interactive discussion and practical tools to ensure support is relevant to the lesson, not extra.
- December 1, 2026: Clarity by Design: Visual Strategies for Accessible Curriculum
- What if a few visual adjustments could make your curriculum click for every learner? This session explores visual strategies to enhance clarity and accessibility in everyday materials, supporting general and special educators in reaching diverse learners in inclusive settings. Drawing on real classroom examples, participants will leave with practical, ready-to-use ideas. Expect examples and sample tools you can apply directly to your own lessons.
- January 12, 2027: In the Moment: Responsive for Real-Time Differentiation
- Some of the most powerful teaching decisions happen in the moment, no matter how well the lesson was planned. This session gives general and special educators practical strategies for reading the room and differentiating instruction in real time, so every learner stays supported. Grounded in real classroom examples, the session offers ideas educators can try immediately. Participants will identify responsive strategies to apply in their own settings.
- February 23, 2027: AI with Intention: Thoughtful, Inclusive Lesson Planning Using AI Tools
- Can AI actually make lesson planning more inclusive, not less personal? This session explores how general and special educators can use AI tools thoughtfully to support, rather than replace, intentional and learner-centered planning. Participants will see real classroom examples of AI-supported planning that honors diverse learners. The session includes tool demonstrations and practical ideas to try right away.
- April 13, 2027: Sustaining Engagement: Strategies that Support Focus and Regulation for Every Learner
- Every learner's path to focus and regulation looks a little different. This session shares practical strategies that support sustained attention and self-regulation across a range of learner needs, drawn from real classroom examples in inclusive settings. Designed for general and special educators, it offers easy-to-use ideas participants can implement right away. Expect to take home tools to support focus and regulation in your own classroom.
Individual viewing: For this training, individual viewing is recommended for a single individual attending the training.
Team Viewing Option: For this training, team viewing is recommended for a group size of 10 or more participants, who will be facilitated by at least 1 team leader (preferably a coach within your local ISD).
Team Viewing Instructions:
- Identify and register 1 to 2 Team Leaders (preferably a coach within your district/ISD) who will be responsible for facilitating the virtual training experience.
- Team Leaders are responsible for the following:
- Organizing and coordinating the training in a physical viewing location.
- Communicating with START about the training and questions that arise.
- Collecting team attendance and reporting this attendance to START.
- Facilitating the team experience.
- Team Leaders are responsible for the following:
- After registering, START will send the Team Leaders a Facilitator Guide with information about facilitating a high-quality virtual training experience in a large group.
START is offering State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs), Social Work Credits, pending approval, and Certificates of Attendance. Participants must complete the Attendance Form provided at the training within 2 days of the training date to receive CEUs and/or a Certificate of Attendance.
