Open Source
ONGOING DEVELOPMENT
Active development is ongoing. The app has been contributed by numerous GVSU undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and professional developers over the past 15 years.
OPEN-SOURCE RELEASE
The GVSU Art Museum has now officially released the app codebase under the Apache-2.0 license for open source projects. This means that any institution may now use and edit this codebase for their own collections. The current feature set supported includes:
- walking tours with geolocations
- object details
- full searching capabilities
- QR label scanning
- saving and sharing favorites
- augmented reality
- AI image searching
There are currently two GitHub repositories for this project, one for iOS and the other for Android.
