Tim Botting

Tim completed two field seasons in 2011 and 2012 as an undergraduate student in Natural Resource Management before leading the team during the 2013 and 2014 field seasons as a graduate student. As team leader his responsibilities for the field season included preparing, obtaining and shipping materials for the field, coordinating logistics, scheduling and overseeing field activities, preserving plant specimens, acquiring soil samples and other data for collaborators and collecting and entering data for the project. After the field season his responsibilities included management and submission of the vast amount of collected data.

Tim graduated in May of 2015 with a Master's in Biology. For his thesis he focused on documenting vegetation change in Barrow and relating identified changes to various biotic and abiotic factors.

Tim hopes to use his experiences with the AEP to become a research technician and continue with plant-related research.
