Business administration refers to the management and oversight of business operations within an organization. Graduate students often pursue an M.B.A. to advance into leadership or executive positions.

Overview

Grand Valley's Professional Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) offers an education of exceptional value and impact for individuals aspiring to transform their careers and lead the businesses transforming our region. The M.B.A. is a 36-credit program. It offers a learning opportunity in the context of everyday business situations over 20 months of study.

The PMBA curriculum is designed to cultivate essential leadership skills and strategic abilities. It emphasizes a customer-oriented perspective, ensuring that graduates can effectively address and anticipate market needs. The program also prioritizes active learning, focusing on the application of business knowledge to real-world problems, thereby preparing students to tackle complex challenges in their professional careers.

Students are drawn to Seidman's PMBA program for its strong ties with area businesses, offering collaboration on career development and community projects. Faculty actively consult with businesses, blending theory with practical application. The program’s AACSB International accreditation ensures excellence in teaching, research, and student success. Seidman College’s recognition as a top business school and its students’ success in competitions further enhance its appeal. The PMBA is offered in a hybrid format. In-person classes are held in the L. William Seidman Center near the heart of Grand Rapids.

Application Deadline

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; deadline for fall semester start is June 15 and November 15 for winter. There is a $30 GVSU application fee, waived if you have previously applied to GVSU.

Career Opportunities
