Healthcare Leadership Graduate Certificate at Grand Valley State University.

Overview

The Healthcare Leadership Graduate Certificate is designed for those newer to management in healthcare organizations. The certificate covers essential management content relevant to today's evolving healthcare sector, which functions differently than most industries. It is intended for clinicians who have gained administrative responsibilities, those promoted from administrative or staff positions into management, and those transferring their management experience from another industry to healthcare. While the certificate is not a graduate degree, courses taken for the certificate may be applied toward the CAHME accredited Master of Health Administration.

It is expected the program will take 15-18 months to complete. Students working full-time should take 1 or 2 classes in a semester. The program is offered online to make it more feasible for working healthcare professionals. Upon completion of this certificate, students will be awarded the Certificate in Healthcare Leadership, Certified Healthcare Finance Professions (CHFP - embedded in PNH 632), and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM - embedded in PNH 649).
