Business Leadership

Graduate Badge

Grand Rapids • Face to face • 8 Credits

A graduate badge in business leadership can help you turn ambition into real-world impact. It's designed to equip you with the strategic thinking, communication skills, and leadership mindset needed to guide teams and drive results. Through hands-on learning and real-world applications, you’ll develop tools to prepare you for long-term growth as a future leader.

Overview

The Business Leadership badge will equip students to better understand themselves both as individual contributors and as managers of others within a business organization. Students will complete a self-assessment tool that provides individualized information about their motivation, operating style, and their preferred modes of learning. This information will offer actionable information for better self-management and team interactions.

Building on a more informed understanding of self, students will learn about key concepts such as strategic thinking, planning and implementation, leadership and influence, motivation, managing change, negotiations, business communications, and negotiations. Course work will include opportunities to practice these skills through case studies and applied project work.

The Seidman College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, reflecting the highest standards of excellence in teaching, research, curriculum, and learner success. Regularly recognized as a top business school, Seidman offers classes in the thriving business community of downtown Grand Rapids, MI.
