Welcome to The Grand Valley State University Libraries

The University Libraries extends a warm welcome to all returning adult and transfer students. As a new, transfer or returning adult student, we want to introduce you to the University Libraries and all of the services available to help you succeed at GVSU.

  GVSU has libraries on four campuses:

• Zumberge Library: the main library of the University in Allendale. It houses the majority of the collection.
• Steelcase Library: downtown Grand Rapids, DeVos Center, on the Pew Campus. It contains materials supporting courses taught in: Business, Public and Non Profit Administration, Social Work, Engineering, Criminal Justice and Law.
• Frey Learning Center: in the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences, downtown Grand Rapids.
• Meijer Campus Library: Located in Holland. It has a non circulating reference collection.

A Library Guide for Returning Adults and Transfer Students is available on the Library Web site. This will give you an introduction to the library resources and is a great place to begin. 

Library Services

• Course Reserve: click on course reserve tab to access items on course reserve for your classes
• Document Delivery: use this service to request items that the library does not own. You can also use this service to request a PDF copy of an article from journals owned by the library.
• Ask A Librarian: get in touch with a librarian by using chat, email, or in person at the reference desk.  

You can also access the library catalog, databases, e-journals, and many other resources by just visiting the library homepage at http://www.gvsu.edu/library In order to use the library resources from home, you will be asked for your GVSU network log in.
