University pursuing a Combined MSE/BSE in Electrical and Computer
Engineering, with a Minor in Computer Science. He is currently an
Electrical Engineering intern with the Digital Design Team at Gentex

His life-long dream is to work in the emerging space industry
with a focus on software/hardware development, machine learning, and
robotics. During his free time, JP enjoys all things science fiction,
politics, and the arts. He also attends Grand Valley's Astronomy Club
throughout the year.
His most memorable outdoor adventure was traveling to the Teton
mountains in 2013, jumping off a waterfall while in Yellow Stone
National Park. He finds inspiration from the great outdoors, joining
family camping trips throughout the summer.
JP dedicated his first year at the Cook Leadership Academy to
better understanding who he was. In previous years, he took on the
role of facilitating reflective conversation as a Lead
Fellow-Candidate. This year, he returns as a Fellow-Candidate and is
eager to participate in thoughtful conversation.
