VAGTC Program and Policy Information

Event Materials: Unless noted, all materials are included with the event fees.

Catering: All events with a morning start time include breakfast. Events scheduled past 12:00 p.m. also include lunch. If you have a restricted diet request, please call 616-331-6811 or email no later than three (3) business days prior to the event.

Cancellation and Rescheduling: GVSU’s Van Andel Global Trade Center (VAGTC) reserves the right to reschedule or cancel an event due to inclement weather, low enrollment, or any other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, registrants will be notified at the latest two (2) hours prior to the event start. If the Grand Valley State University campus closes, VAGTC events will be canceled and rescheduled. If an event is rescheduled and the registrant cannot attend the program on the new date, the registrant may either receive a credit to attend another VAGTC event of equal or lesser value for up to twelve (12) months from the date of the canceled event or receive a refund of the registration fee.

Refunds: For a full refund, the VAGTC office must be notified of the registrant cancellation by mail, email, or by fax at 616-331-6744 at least three (3) business days prior to the event date. No refunds will be granted if notice is received less than three (3) business days prior to the event date. If no cancellation notice is received, the registrant will be responsible for the full event fee. However, confirmed registrants who fail to meet the cancellation deadline may receive a credit to attend a future event. The credit may be used by the registrant for any event offered exclusively by VAGTC for up to twelve (12) months from the date of the initial event. If you wish to send a substitute, you can do so by calling the VAGTC office at 616-331-6811 or emailing and notifying us of the change.

Late Fees: A late fee of $50 may be assessed if registering less than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the event.

Continuing Education Credits: Upon request, registrants will receive a digital Certificate of Completion stating the value of continuing education credits.

Payment: We accept Discover, MasterCard, and VISA, as well as company or personal checks and/or money orders as payment. If paying by check, please make check payable to Grand Valley State University. All payments must be made prior to the event.

Seminar Dress: Seminars are business casual attire unless otherwise noted.
