VAGTC Program and Policy Information

In-Person and Live Virtual Event Policies

Live Virtual Training: Van Andel Global Trade Center’s (VAGTC) reserves the right to record live virtual training sessions for archival purposes, on-demand library purposes, or makeup sessions for paying registrants who may have missed a session due to extenuating circumstances. Live virtual training sessions will not be recorded for attendee distribution purposes following the session. Global trade is an ever-changing landscape and VAGTC believes offering live virtual training where attendees can ask questions and receive responses in real-time is crucial for the success of learning trade topics and is an added value for those attending these events.

Virtual and In-Person Event Materials: Unless noted, all materials are included with the event fees. No part of the provided materials, whether given in-person or digitally, in part or full may be reproduced, sold, given away, posted online, or copied. Attendees are not allowed to share, distribute, or copy products without written permission from VAGTC to do so.

Refund for Live Digital or In-Person Training: For a full refund, the VAGTC office must be notified of the registrant cancellation by email at least three (3) business days before the event date and one (1) week before the Michigan Automotive Suppliers Symposium. No refunds will be granted if notice is received less than three (3) business days before the event date and less than one (1) week before the Michigan Automotive Supplier Symposium. If no cancellation notice is received, the registrant will be responsible for the full event fee. However, confirmed registrants who fail to meet the cancellation deadline may receive a credit to attend a future event. The credit may be used by the registrant toward any event offered exclusively by VAGTC for up to twelve (12) months from the date of the initial event. If you wish to send a substitute, you can do so by calling the VAGTC office at (616) 331-6811 or emailing [email protected] and notifying us of the change before the event.

Cancellation and Rescheduling: Grand Valley State University’s Van Andel Global Trade Center (VAGTC) reserves the right to reschedule or cancel an event due to inclement weather, low enrollment, or any other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, registrants will be notified at the latest two (2) hours before the event start. If the Grand Valley State University campus closes, VAGTC events will be canceled and rescheduled. If an event is rescheduled and the registrant cannot attend the program on the new date, the registrant may either receive a credit to attend another VAGTC event of equal or lesser value for up to twelve (12) months from the date of the canceled event or receive a refund of the registration fee.

Continuing Education Credits: Upon request, registrants will receive a digital Certificate of Completion stating the value of continuing education credits for the event they attend.

Payment: VAGTC accepts Discover, MasterCard, and VISA, as well as company or personal checks and/or money orders as payment. If paying by check, please make check payable to “Grand Valley State University”. All payments must be made before the event.

Seminar Dress: In-person Seminars are business casual attire unless otherwise noted.

Catering: All in-person events with a morning start time of 8:00 a.m. include breakfast. Events scheduled past 12:00 p.m. EST also include lunch. If you have a restricted diet request, please call (616) 331-6811 or email [email protected] no later than three (3) business days before the event.

Late Fees: A late fee of $50 may be assessed if registering less than twenty-four (24) hours prior to an in-person event.
