The TRIO-STEM Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Appointments can be scheduled by logging into www.gvsu.edu/navigate with your Network ID and Password, or you can call our office at (616) 331-5430.

To make sure we have the most up-to-date information on file, please make sure your phone number is updated when you make your appointment so that we can easily reach you.

Mission Statement

To increase rates of academic achievement, retention, and graduation among historically underrepresented students interested in the STEM - Health Science majors by providing holistic and individualized support services that maximize students' innate abilities, draw upon available resources within and outside of the university, and benefit students, families and the larger community.

Did you know?

TRIO Student Support Services (formerly known as the Educational Support Program) is a federally-funded, comprehensive support program for first-generation and limited-income college students. The goal of the program is to offer every possible form of support for participants along their journey to graduation from Grand Valley State University.

TRIO STEM is one of seven TRIO programs at Grand Valley State University. There are three Student Support Services for college students: Classic (all majors), TPSSS (education majors) and TRIO STEM (science, technology, engineering, science and all health sciences majors).
