TRiO Student Support Services STEM & Health Sciences
TRiO Student Support Services STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) - Health Science (TRiO STEM) is a federally-funded, comprehensive support program for first-generation and limited-income college students. The goal of the program is to offer every possible form of support for participants along their journey to graduation from Grand Valley State University.
Through participation in the program, students are assigned an advisor and have access to peer mentors who can help them achieve success while in college.
We provide a number of services including: academic advising, scheduling assistance, study skills assistance, time management assistance, secondary admission assistance, financial aid counseling, career counseling, graduate school counseling, personal counseling and study abroad advising.

Summer 2018 Events:
July 13 – Go behind the scenes of Grand Haven’s famous Musical Fountain to see how it operates, learn about municipal opportunities for all majors and enjoy a picnic on the shores of Lake Michigan. Leaving at 10 am sharp. Picnic lunch is included as well.
August 9 – Come experience serving dinner to disadvantaged and homeless at DeGage Ministries. Listen to the stories they tell and be inspired. Leaving at 5:15 pm and returning at 8 pm.
All events need an RSVP to TRIO SSS STEM unless stated.
