Spotlights
Samantha Thomure, Romania
Spending a month living in Romania was the best decision I made during my academic life because it introduced me to a vibrant culture few take time to learn about. I got to tour the famous Bran castle, multiple fortified churches, and different UNESCO historical cities like Sighisoara. I got to explain American media references to the professors, and they enjoyed introducing our session group to various Romanian dishes and history. After leaving, I felt a deeper appreciation for Eastern European cultures and constantly feel a pull to go back someday in the future to visit more places.
