tudying abroad was one of the best decisions I have ever made! It allowed for me to meet so many amazing people from all over the world. I now have friends that I still talk to every day from Washington, Florida, and Italy! Italy, and specifically Florence had some of the most beautiful places and views that I've ever seen. I was constantly in awe my entire trip. I got to walk through all of Florence because my class I took was a wine and windows walk class, and so we would walk around the city for three hours each day. It was the most perfect class to take because there was not an ounce of Florence that I did not see, and my professor was so cool and knew so much about the city (he was a local there and has been his whole life). I loved getting to hear from the locals and their experiences with having grown up in Italy. It was incredibly eye-opening so see how differently they live over there too. It really changes your perspective on a lot of things and makes you realize how different everyone's lives truly are. One of my favorite memories was my first week in Europe because I took a travel week course which took us along the coast of northern Italy. I met my best friends throughout this week, had the most amazing teachers, and learned so much about the history of Italy. The entire week is something that I will never forget and I am incredibly grateful to have gotten to experience it. I also loved taking weekend excursions with my friends that I had made! I got to go to Paris, Greece, and Copenhagen. I truly enjoyed this experience so much that when it was time for me to go home, I was not ready; therefore, I cancelled my flights and stayed an extra three weeks. I had to move out of my apartment though, so I was staying in hostels and sleeping on my friends couches. It made for some interesting stories, since I was basically homeless, but it was the best decision I have ever made. I wasn't willing to give up the beautiful culture, views, food, and friendships that I was so lucky to have had the past month, so I didn't and I stayed. There are a million more things I could say. This experience was extremely special to me, in so many ways, and it's something I will always look back on with the biggest smile on my face for the rest of my life!
