Isabella Pessoa, Costa Rica
Studying abroad in Costa Rica at Universidad Veritas in San José was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life. I was able to reconnect with my own culture while growing immensely in my independence and confidence, especially in my Spanish skills. I learned to say yes to new experiences, which led to new lifelong friendships with people from across the U.S. My favorite lesson was learning to do things even when I was scared, realizing that while the people at home will still be there when you return, the friendships, adventures, and opportunities abroad won't be. Sometimes you just have to take the leap.
Isabella studied at Universidad Veritas through CEA CAPA in San Jose, Costa Rica. She majored in Psychology and minored in Spanish.
