Candidate Bio
Iým from a town known as Parchment, Michigan. Leadership was never something I took too seriously until I attended my first MASC/MAHS conference in 2020. At that conference, I fell in love with leadership. I worked my way into leadership roles anywhere I could in high school, serving as the captain of the varsity football and varsity wrestling team, a member of NHS, and president of the student council, I just couldn't get enough of it. As I reached the end of my time at Parchment High School, I realized that Iýd truly fallen in love with student government. With that, I didn't know where I was going to go next in life, but I knew that another student government would be a part of it. I can honestly say, I committed to the Grand Valley Student Senate before I committed to GVSU. I applied to the student senate the week after I graduated high school and served for the entirety of the 23-24 academic year. During my first year here at GVSU, I served as a general senator and later as the Vice President of the Campus Affairs committee. During my tenure thus far, I have worked with GV Parking to promote public transportation and put EV Charging stations on maps, with GVPD to promote the Laker Guardian app, and have branched the Campus Affairs Committee to different parts of our community so that the student senate as a whole can get a better understanding of the climate on campus as well as our students and their ever-changing needs. Now that our senate is restructured, I'm ready more than ever to serve my fellow students. With your vote, I will work for the betterment of our campus, and the betterment of the lives of the students.
