Student performance on the cumulative OST 551 final was collected for both the traditional and hybrid cohorts. Hybrid performance: 22/22 achieved the target score with a range from 84-100, and an average score of 94.77. For the traditional cohort (40 students), the point range for the assignment was 86%-107%, with a median score of 99%. The hybrid cohort (17 students), the point range for the assignment was 88%-100%, with a median score of 99%. The median scores for both cohorts was well above the target at 99 for the traditional program and 99 for the hybrid program.

From the Fall 2017 semester, 58 students completed this project. Within the hybrid program, 18/18 students completed the project at or above an 84%. Within the traditional program, 39 of 40 students completed the project at or above 84%, the lone score below this standard was not due to content or delivery errors- the student submitted the project three days late and the course syllabus indicates a 10% penalty per day. The student earned a 97% for the content and the score of 68.5% reflected timeliness rather than knowledge of content.

Scores on the Intervention Plan for the traditional and hybrid classes were collected in summer 2018 to update this report. Traditional Program: 38 students, range 79-99.75, average 92.5. Hybrid program: 18 students, range: 58-95 with an average score of 91. Overall 45/54 students met the threshold score on this culminating experience.

Overall- 53/59 students passed this assignment with an 84% or higher with an average score of 91.25%. 18/18 Hybrid students passed this project with an average score of 94.5%. 35/41 Traditional students passed this project, the overall average score for this cohort was 88.0%. While the overall class average score exceeded the threshold, the department holds a goal that all students enrolled in this course demonstrate competency on this learning activity.

Four student groups were accepted for presentation between the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association conference and the American Occupational Therapy Association conference. Two of those groups were also accepted for publication in the Open Journal of Occupational Therapy.

Eight OST student research projects were accepted for presentation at state and national conferences. One group of students had their abstract published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Outcome C Entry-level leadership skills

Students will demonstrate and understanding of application of leadership skills including the supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, education of team members, advocacy, and entrepreneurship.

Both cohorts' scores were at or above the projected target of 95%. With all student scores being above thee threshold, the students exceeded the target of 95% thus meeting this objective.

A single student from this cohort fell below the stated threshold mark. 16 of 20 students in the hybrid program met the target score, with scores ranging from 73-94.6 and a class average of 85%. Three students met the threshold but not the target, and one student's score fell below the threshold mark.

Findings since last year: OST 502, Traditional Program, Range of Scores on the Final Exam was 68.5-104 with an average score of 89.1. 29/39 traditional students achieved final exam scores above the threshold score of 84%. Of the 10 students scoring below the threshold, 8 earned a score between 80 and 84%, 1 earned a score of 77%, and 1 scored below 70%. OST 502, Hybrid Program, Range of Scores on the Final Exam was 74.5- 105 with an average score of 94. 20/22 hybrid student achieved a final exam score above the threshold of 84%. Overall student performance: 49/61 students met the threshold score for the final exam, which equates to 80.3% of the students in these cohorts. This mark falls below the target of having 95% of the students pass this exam.
