Describe Latino/a communities in West Michigan in terms of migration
histories, geographic location, demographic and socio economic
characteristics, patterns of political participation, and cultural
attributes and production.
Outcome LS-C Demonstrate knowledge
Demonstrate knowledge of historical origins of distinctive Latino/a
groups and the current demographic patterns across the United States.
Outcome LS-D Assess arguments
Assess differing arguments on controversial issues regarding Latino/as
(e.g. social identity, immigration, social inequality, and evaluate the
evidence and logic of these arguments.
