Outcome [ M.Ed. in Higher Education: Supervised Practice

Supervised Practice
Graduates must gain exposure to both the breadth and depth of student affairs work. Students must gain experience in developmental work with individual students and groups of students in: program planning, implementation, or evaluation; staff training, advising, or supervision; and administration functions or processes.
Objective 40 90% of M.Ed. in Higher Education students in the College Student Affairs Leadership emphasis will successfully complete two separate 150-hour internship or practicum experiences which will include satisfactory performance as indicated by individual supervisors.

Outcome \ M.Ed. in Higher Education: Student Affairs and the Law

Student Affairs and the Law: Students must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the legal issues affecting higher education and student affairs and key legal issues of higher education law including public vs. private institutions, FERPA, Title IX, Affirmative Action, etc.
Objective 41 90% of M.Ed. in Higher Education students enrolled in the College Student Affairs Leadership emphasis Students will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the legal issues affecting higher education and student affairs and key legal issues of higher education.
