Carillonneur – Jerry Jelsema
After earning a Masters of Music degree from the University of Michigan, Jerry Jelsema enjoyed a long career as a church musician and choral singer in Chicago, Illinois.   He started his carillon studies at the University of Chicago’s Rockefeller Chapel in 2008 and soon was invited to play weekly recitals there.   Upon retiring and moving to South Haven, Michigan, he worked with GVSU Carillonneur Julianne Vanden Wyngaard and began to play weekly programs on the two tower carillons.
