Authorized Payer/Guest Payer

PAYMENT BY AUTHORIZED USER – This is new starting with Winter 2026 semester

Students can add individuals as authorized payers by logging into Self-Service Banner, clicking on the Student tab, then Student Account, and then Student Account Information. This is separate from the rest of the Guardian/Family Access. From there, they can "Send a payer invitation". An email will be sent for account set up.

FAMILY EDUCATIONAL RIGHTS AND PRIVACY ACT

Authorization to Release Financial Information to a Third Party under FERPA
FERPA is a Federal law that stands for the "Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act." This law protects the privacy of the student's education records. Providing this consent allows the Student Accounts Office to discuss the student account with a third party, such as parents. To give consent the student must log on to myBanner, click on the "Messages/Documents" tab, then click on "Student Accounts Office Release of FERPA information."


E-billing Notification Setup

Students may set up a third party to receive email notifications when there is a balance due on their student account.  You log into myBanner, click on Personal Information, MyProfile, Personal Information, in the Email box click on "Add New". Billing emails are sent to the GV, Family Supporter and Family Supporter 2 email addresses.
