Data Science for Social Good - Summer 2024

SMU is sponsoring an NSF (National Science Foundation) REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) on the theme "Data Science for Social Good". The experience is advertised as intending to "use data science to solve the most important environmental problems facing urban neighborhoods today. Gain research and coding skills with mentorship by faculty researchers." The REU will start looking at applications on February 1, 2024. You DO NOT have to be an SMU student to participate—nearly all the students this past year were not SMU students. More information @ Data Science for Social Good.
