Research

While I am always interested in practical applications of survival analysis (time to event data), I am currently researching how to analyze data where the number of explanatory variables exceeds the sample size.  Multiple methods have been proposed to generally reduce the dimension of the data, such as principle components and partial least squares, but it is not clear which methods perform better for survival analysis data.  I am especially interested in scenarios where some individuals are not at risk for the event of interest, and are said to be cured.
