GV's Speech Lab empowers communicators to shape their lives, professions, and society through confident and effective public presentations. Speech consultants, who are fellow GVSU students, complete a nationally certified training program that prepares them to assist with all parts of the speechmaking process including: choosing a topic, organizing your thoughts, and practicing presentations. A 30-minute session with a Speech Lab consultant will help you excel in your speech writing and delivery. The Speech Lab is located in the Knowledge Market in the Mary Idema Pew Library (Allendale), and in the Learning Commons in the Steelcase Library (downtown Grand Rapids). The Speech Lab's services are free for all Grand Valley students.
