PIPES - Promoting Interprofessional Education for Students
- PIPES strives to promote interprofessional education (IPE) to students pursuing health-related fields.

The MIPERC organization PIPES (Promoting Interprofessional Education for Students) was founded in 2009 and strives to promote interprofessional education (IPE) to students pursuing health-related fields. At each PIPES event, one or more of the Interprofessional Education Collaboration (IPEC) Core Competencies will be addressed:
- Values/Ethics for Interprofessional Practice
- Roles/Responsibilities
- Interprofessional Communication
- Teams & Teamwork
All students in higher education are welcome to attend our monthly PIPES events! Students enrolled in the MIPERC IPE Student Certificate program will receive PIPES credit for attending events. Students pursuing the MIPERC IPE Certificate are required to participate in at least 3 PIPES events and participate in 1 interprofessional simulation.
