Description
Containing fewer than eight thousand words, the Constitution and its twenty-seven amendments are the bedrock of the American republic. Its concise structure, alongside the nation’s boundless capacity for change, have produced a need for ongoing debate over the document’s fundamental principles.
In honor of Constitution Day, the Hauenstein Center, the Koeze Business Ethics Initiative, the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation, and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library & Museum are pleased to host a debate titled, "Debating the Consitution" on constitutional interpretation between Nathan Goetting, editor-in-chief of the National Lawyers Guild Review and professor at Adrian College; and John McGinnis, professor of Constitutional Law at Northwestern University. The debate will be moderated by Victoria Vuletich of Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and is free and open to everyone.
