What are the requirements for membership?

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is a national academic honor society. Membership is by invitation to those students who qualify academically (See Eligibility page)

Where can I find the membership application form?

Application forms are mailed to invited students during the annual membership invitation process in February.

I meet the criteria for membership but have not received an invitation. Who do I contact?

What are the benefits of membership?

Phi Kappa Phi awards more than $700,000 annually in awards and scholarships to its members.  These programs include the Graduate Fellowship and Award of Excellence competition, Promotion of Excellence grants, Scholar and Artist awards, Literacy Grants, and Study Abroad Grants.  In addition, the honor society provides networking opportunities, and career resources.

Are there any additional costs beyond the initiation fee?

The initiation fee of $55 includes your membership fee for the first year. After the first year, the annual membership fee is $35, to be paid to the national chapter.

Are there meetings and service requirements to maintain membership in the organization?

There are no meetings or service requirements necessary to maintain membership in the organization other than the annual membership fee. If you are interested in service opportunities, you may view available opportunities at http://www.phikappaphi.org/

I could not attend the initiation ceremony; therefore, I did not get my certificate and pin. Who do I contact?

Phi Kappa Phi certificates are mailed to initiates permanent address approximately one month from the induction ceremony date. The Phi Kappa Phi honor cord and pin are provided at the induction ceremony. Inductees unable to attend the ceremony are notified by email of when their honor cord and pin will be available for pick up from the Registrar's Office in either Allendale (150 Student Services Building) or Grand Rapids Pew campus (115 Devos C).
