Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training

The Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training is located within the College of Health Professions at Grand Valley State University. Students have the opportunity to pursue a Master of Athletic Training or a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree through completion of professional, graduate-level coursework in state-of-the-art facilities located on the Medical Mile in Grand Rapids, MI. Faculty, staff, and students work collaboratively to create an educational environment that prioritizes equity, inclusion, access, and a sense of belonging for all.

We take pride in cultivating an educational experience that blends rigorous academic inquiry with hands-on clinical experience.  Both programs are designed to empower learners to become collaborative professionals who optimize the health and function of the individuals and communities they serve.
