Politics in Color Discussion

Politics in Color Discussion

We want to make students, faculty, and staff aware of two upcoming events related to our broader university focus on equity and inclusion, community engagement, and social activism.

The Politics in Color discussion is an opportunity for the university to come together around important social issues and educate students on how to advocate for social justice and diversity and inclusion. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from panelists on how students can advocate for civic engagement.

Join GVSU students, faculty, and staff at this minority civic engagement panel discussion on Wednesday, March 20th from 6-8pm in the Pere Marquette room in Kirkhof Center. A reception catered by Southern Smoke will precede the discussion from 4:30-6pm.

There is a second opportunity to implement some of these ideas in a Town Hall meeting with the SLT Team on April 2nd in 2266 Kirkhof Center, which has been called to address specific concerns raised by GVSU students.
