Research Interests
My areas of interest are in health and social psychology. Broadly, my work examines the roles of emotions and perceptions in relation to health behaviors and physical health. Our lab has examined how anxiety and risk perception influence behaviors ranging from cancer screening to binge drinking. We also develop interventions, often centered around first-person narratives or affective forecasting manipulations to change behaviors.
