Professional Support Staff Development Committee

• Join the PSS Development Committee
  • The PSS Development Committee is responsible for administering PSS programs such as the annual Appreciation Celebration, the PSS Peer Navigation Program and is constantly brainstorming new ideas to support PSS. The Committee meets to touch base, share resources, and plan the Appreciation Celebration. Different perspectives and experience are always appreciated, and we would love to have you! • Sign up as a PSS Peer Navigator
  • The Peer Navigation Program provides newly hired PSS with a direct esteemed PSS presence at Grand Valley. This relationship is a volunteer-based program that helps pass institutional knowledge to the next generation of PSS. The program will help prepare new PSS to excel in their role at Grand Valley, and provide the best support for our students. Newly hired PSS will be contacted or can request if they would like to be paired with a Peer Navigator. If you're an experienced PSS and you're interested in being a PSS Navigator, please submit this PSS Peer Navigation Program Volunteer Interest Form.
• Volunteer for PSSDC events
  • You do not need to be a member of the PSSDC to volunteer at the next Appreciation Celebration! Please reach out to the Committee if you would like to volunteer!
• Provide feedback, suggestions, comments and/or submit your idea(s)
  • If you do not think you have the availability to participate in the Committee, but still want to share your thoughts, please complete the PSSDC Feedback Form! We value any input from our colleagues.

This academic year, 2026-27, we meet every other Thursday from 3–4 p.m., with a hybrid format that alternates between campuses and always includes a Zoom option.
