Why I joined PSSDC: As a new GVSU employee, I initially found it challenging to navigate my role, particularly as the only Professional Support Staff member in my department at the Health Campus. Attending a PSSDC welcome breakfast became a turning point. I connected with Susan Seigler and Ashley Jefferson, who introduced me to valuable networking opportunities and encouraged me to engage with fellow PSS colleagues across campus. Through those connections, I gained insight, mentorship, and a stronger sense of belonging within the GVSU community.
My Goal for PSSDC: Someday, I would like to see the PSSDC become a known resource for all PSS and GVSU employees in building institutional knowledge, community, and opportunities for professional growth.
