Academic Affairs Future Design Task Force

Grand Valley is continually evolving to meet the needs of our students, our communities, and the future of higher education. As part of that work, Provost Jennifer Drake has established the Academic Affairs Future Design Task Force to consider how the academic infrastructure of our programs, units, and colleges can best position Academic Affairs for a strong and sustainable future.

The task force will explore possibilities with a focus on student belonging and academic success, interdisciplinary collaboration, academic excellence, and long-term sustainability.

The task force will review relevant data and external models, consider opportunities across Academic Affairs, and engage members of the university community as its work progresses. Its work will be grounded in Grand Valley's mission, vision, and values, Reach Higher Together and the Academic Affairs Strategic Framework and will culminate in recommendations to the Provost.

Faculty, staff, and students will have opportunities to participate in conversations and provide feedback as the work progresses. Additional information and opportunities for engagement will be shared throughout the task force’s work.
