RSVP NOW: www.gvsu.edu/sprout (under Faculty Teaching & Learning programs)
Fulbright research and lecturing opportunities exist for you in over 125 countries around the world. The rewards for you and your students are numerous, and the application process is not as onerous as you may think. In fact, a majority of recent applications by GVSU faculty have been successful!
The process culminates with a 1 August 2019 application deadline for projects during the 2020-21 academic year. Fulbright grants typically support work for semester or year-long terms.
I invite you to attend the Fulbright Seminar and Reception on Friday, 22 February 2019. It will be held in the University Club, DeVos Center (GVSU Pew Campus). The workshop for faculty will run from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. and be led by Peter Raucci of the CIES Fulbright office (New York). After the workshop, there will be a wine & cheese reception at which there will be previous GVSU Fulbright awardees, 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. You can talk with them about their own Fulbright experiences (light refreshments and wine available). Covered at the workshop:
• The benefits of a Fulbright awards to you, to GVSU, to your students
• What kinds of Fulbright opportunities exist for U.S. Scholars
• How to find a Fulbright opportunity that is a good fit for you and your expertise and/or interests
• The process for application (and selection)
Please register for the workshop at www.gvsu.edu/sprout under Faculty Teaching & Learning programs.
